Mom's Diner

Back when we went to the Paul Bunyan festival we stopped here at this little diner on the way home. We eat here every once in awhile, just a little diner along State Route 821 in Ohio. Not far from where we live, we like to take the scenic route instead of the interstate.

Since there was only one other fellow in the diner I got out my camera and snapped some pictures. This is the bar and the menu of items is written on the board behind the counter. (click on pictures to make larger)

Some of the tins on a shelf, the wall paper looks like plaster over old brick....the rustic look.

All kinds of pictures and some antique looking things on the walls.

More pictures and plaques.

I have to laugh when I see this one, the waitress is saying, "OK Toots, what'll it be?" How funny!

Even the salt and pepper holders say "mom's" on it. Wonder if they had these special made? This day they weren't busy but as we were leaving more cars and trucks were pulling in. The food is good and the atmosphere is good so a lot of people come from all around. Yum!!!

I think I NEED some of that 'Dutch Apple Caramel Cheesecake' she has on the board...
Does it really taste like 'MOM'S' cookin'???
Sure brings me back in time when I see the memorabilia on the walls...50's ALL over again!!!

I rarely ever take the interstate if I have a choice, either. They stress me out. I love exploring off-the-beaten path. I bet we'd have fun doing a road-trip together, my friend :)

So what did you order?

Looks like a cute little place I would like to eat at instead of the corporate mills we have in our area...
