Sunday Sunsets

I took these pictures several weeks ago on a late Sunday afternoon on our way home after visiting some friends.

All pictures are on the same stretch of road and high enough to get these shots.

All were taken while Mike was driving and I was looking out the passenger side window.

I love how this little Canon camera takes pictures. I had the setting on "sunset" and boy what gorgeous pictures I got, if I do say so myself!!!!
The first picture is a cropped one from the second one. Love it!
Have a wonderful evening.

Julie and Alice, Thanks, I got some lucky shots there.

Val, thank you, yes, the drive home that evening was exceptional!

Desert Rose, Prairie Emporium, Cowgirl JLynn.....thanks!!! :-)

Lisa, thanks, I never had that setting on other cameras but this one has a LOT of neat settings to try. Me too...in love with my Canon's! ;-)

Paint Girl, I only get to see sunsets when we are out of the hollow, that was up on a ridge about 6 miles from home. Down in the hollow the sun goes over the hill at 3:30 in the afternoon, then it just gets dark.

Elizabeth, lucky you! I have to travel to see either.

I just learned something new, I will have to look for the 'sunset mode' on my G9 Powershot - thanks! Of course your sunset pictures were stunning. I just took some sunset pictures today. Unfortunately that was before I read this blog post and learnerd about sunset mode!
