Gilly's new look....

Gilly decided to get ready for his new friend coming and she is coming on Tuesday, tomorrow!!!  I am excited and Gilly will be too when he meets her.
Tomorrow morning the hoof trimmer is coming then it's off to get the new girl. Her name is Pebbles right now but Kim doesn't like that name and is trying to find a new one.

Hey, anyone have any Appaloosa names for a mare? Please help us out here! :-)

Gilly sure would make a nice Appaloosa! lol.
Pebbles is cute! Is that her registered or barn name?

I guess it's her barn name. The guy Kim is getting her from said she is registered, he thinks, but he doesn't have the papers. The people he got her from, he can't remember their name either, live where I grew up so we are going to try and find who they are and find out what her registered name is. Kim doesn't care about getting her registered, just wants to know her name and more about her.

Too cute ,that Appy butt on Gilly!

I too think pebbles is adorable..
Pantz, my sissy's registered Appy mare's name is "------- extra Fancy" so , whatever she wants is good. Sometimes the registered name can lend a thought to a barn name...but most times...being around your horse and learning about/from them, will enlighten you- to the true essence of their name.

Pantz...may sound like a gelding name, bit it Id becausr she is tje alpa the lead...she wears the Pants(z ).

Tell us mote about that mare..she is a pretty thing.

lol Gilly sure is a nice looking appaloosa. A name for the new girl, well I think all horse stuff has the best advise it would help to get to know the horse and then give it a name, but as I am here now I may as well say some names, Blossom, Snowy, and someone else that I asked about a name said Spot, Wilma, or Betty, but I say just go with all horse stuff’s advise. I am looking forward to hearing more about this.

Ha! I got to find out before Daughter did!! LOL. Hope the mare turns out to be a good companion for Gilly. You know how Pippi was with him; snubbing him and hurting his manly pride!

Jane, it's good to see you updating again. I've missed you.

Pebbles is such a pretty lady and I'm excited for you, Kim and Gilly. As for her new name, I'd say to wait a while and let her name herself. That's what we did when Pepper gave birth to ChiliPepper. It eventually just "came to us!"

I had to chuckle at the picture of Gilly as an appaloosa. Cute. So cute. I'm going through withdrawal as it's been too hot here to ride, spend any time in the pasture, etc. Hurry, fall.
