I'm still here.....just not on here

I have been slacking in my posting....a lot! Have been doing lots of things just haven't been posting, sometimes writing just seems like too much work to do after a long day.

I have been making more saddle pads and sold some, Gilly and I have been doing some work. Even did some cantering and I am learning to try and be more balanced so both of us can have better rides. If I am out of balance I throw him off so he stops, can't say I blame him.

We even cantered and it felt good. Went to Sheri's to take a lesson in the CoverAll arena, so nice......wish I would hit the lottery then maybe....yea, right! LOL

These two pads I made for my neighbor Kim and her horse Messina. Like the last one, kind of whimsical don't you think? Flower Power and Peace signs!

This one is all wool made for an eventing friend. White wool and pink wool stars with black trim.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one! My husband who is a non-active Marine who served in Viet Nam inspired this one. Love the military swallow tail and the emblem so classy! This one is for sale on my Etsy store GillyWear

This is Gilly's fun pad! I found this fabric and just had to have it, color is so different and love the wild running pony's on it. Trimmed this one out in a sparkly purple fabric. I haven't used it yet but in two weeks me and Gil are going to a clinic with Karen Musson so Gil will get to wear some new "clothes".
Hope I can get back in the groove of writing and posting. Got lots of pictures and will be going back and forth with posts.

I know, I know......

I know I have been missing in action of late, have no excuses.....have thought about posting but doing it....well, that's another story. Thought I would post a picture of the boys, yes, they have snow on them, think this was taken in January of this year.
Yes, I have ridden a few times; had to go to the doctor because my evil cat BIT me, (Kitty you are using up your nine lives...quickly!); had a birthday and lots of rain.
I promise (Lisa) that I will be telling you all about it soon!

"Posting" for Kacy

Kacy over at All Horse Stuff wanted me to post pictures of me and Gilly "posting"; well me posting not Gilly. He is just trying to put up with my riding; which isn't very good. He is a hard horse to ride and riding English is something that I am just learning to do. Hard work! Even harder is that I am trying to train him myself and work on learning to ride the high lofty suspension he has. But I am determined to "get it"!
So here we are in the round pen doing some trotting.

The two horses I had in the past were definitely western horses, Gilly is not. I can't, and do not want to, change the way he is, so I will change me. Selling him and getting a easier horse for me to ride is out of the question; I love my rescue boy.

I am not fond of seeing myself in pictures, need to lose a lot of weight and I think I do not ride very well. My teacher says I am doing fine, it takes time a lot of time to get things right. So.....

Gilly did well, as well as he can with a rider who needs help! The pictures are not very good because it was cloudy and raining and he has glowing eyes that I can't get rid of, so that is why his eyes may look really black or glowing.....sorry.


Kim came up and took pictures today for me. I went out at 8:30 am and the weather was overcast but not raining, just as soon as the saddle was on Gilly it started to sprinkle and rained harder the longer I rode. We really need the rain so I won't complain.

Gilly says, "Get this woman off me, PLEASE!!!" LOL Look at his lip sticking sideways, wonder what he was thinking???
