Patio Herb garden

Here are some pictures of the herb garden off my patio that I started in April. I had another smaller flower bed, that's why all the rocks are piled up....getting ready to move them out. A large sage plant was already established and another plant called "White Nancy". Pretty pink flower and the leaves have a white strip in them.

(looking from the end of the patio) I was going to move both plants but couldn't decide where to put them so they are staying where they are. I found, on a walk, large pieces of a pottery crock and carried it home. I use it to help keep the sage in line.
Looking toward the house and patio from out in the yard. Mike got these large sand stones moved with the back hoe......boy, does that thing come in handy. He also went back the hollow to a place where we have dumped manure from the barn for several years to dig into it to get me some really good rich dirt to fill in the bed.

Here is the bed as of the other day. I have Bronze Fennel, Garlic Chives, Rosemary, Citronella scented Geranium, Curly Parsley, Stevea and Basil. I will be adding some more plants or planting some seeds, just not sure what else I want in there. Oh, back in the corner by the sage is a patio tomato plant. You will have to click on the picture to enlarge to see it, look for the yellow blooms. I always plant a cherry tomato plant there, it so easy to come out the door and pick a few to just munch on........yum!!!

Wish I had the desire to do that...I seems like so much work although your does seem a manageable size!

Very nice! I will be planting some more herbs in the herb garden here already. I want cilantro, basil and a couple more. Flowers are blooming and I am watering the lawn so it stays green and pretty.

That is so cool, Jane! You're such the 'back to the earth' woman...living there in the hollow. Lovin' how you used the rocks & pottery.

I've been wanting to plant an herb garden, but just haven't gotten around to it. I will put it on my list of things to do this weekend. Thanks for the inspiration.

Oh, my! Where have I been that I have forgotten to post these messages? Yesterday I rode Gilly, some good some bad! We have some issues to address, he has been a bad boy!
Dusty Devoe, thanks, I love cut sandstones and they are hard to come by. These were left here from previous owners.
Desert Rose, any kind of gardening is work, sometimes I enjoy is sometimes not. But this little garden will be easy!
Julie, thanks, I need to decide what else to plant in the garden....if it ever STOPS raining!
Paint Girl, I am hoping to have some fresh herbs to cook with.
Jacque, yep that's me, diggin' in the dirt or mud as it is now! LOL
Five O'Clock Somewhere, you are welcome! Post pictures of your garden when finished!
