All Right Already, Lisa!!!

Lisa at Laughing Orca Ranch is getting tired of waiting until March 1st for the giveaway and wanted to see another post! LOL OK, guess what is in my hand in the picture? Gilly's tooth, ugh! I do have to say they aren't very pretty!!!

I have had this tooth for quite sometime, I think Gilly was a three year old when I got this little jewel. We had been down at the neighbors in her field, Gilly had been playing with Lacy and was walking away from me. I started kind of shaking his head and working his jaws in a funny way when I saw something fall out of his mouth. I hurried to where I saw it fall and I found this baby molar!

I wasn't lucky enough to find any of his front flat teeth and this one is the only one I have found but I kept it for sentimental reasons. It has bits of hay or grain, maybe both in the crevices, looks rotten to me. Anyone else have any horse molars? Oh, I guess they are called caps.

Don't forget to sign up for the "hooked rug giveaway", click here, to be given away on March 1st!
I guess I'd better keep posting so Lisa won't get bored!! :-) LOL
If you haven't been to Lisa's blog you should check it out.....fabulous, wonderful pictures, great stories. Right now she is trying out a beautiful paint mare named, Sugar. I am hoping that she works out for Lisa, she needs a horse in her life again!!!

hehehe!! It worked! Yay! I kept checking your blog in my list every day just hoping for something new to be posted, and nothing.
Not that we don't all love when you leave us comments on our blog, but it's eve better to be able to pop over here for a visit to read what you and your critters have been up to and see some cool, photos.
And yeppers, that tooth is pretty cool! lol! I can't even figure out which is the top or bottom. Why are there ridges? Do adult horses have similar looking teethers?

How lucky you were to find that tooth and be able to save it. I wonder if the tooth fairy came and brought him a carrot that night? hehe!

Thanks for keeping us all updated and letting us know you're still around, my friend :-)

No excuses to not post...not even a give-away!

LOL...yep, I've got tagged baggies with all sorts of teeth from numerous horses I've owned. If I couldn't figure out who a tooth came from, I threw it away.

They are sentimental. I've got Ol' Man Toby's wolf teeth from when he was a yearling and he's 23 this year.

Lisa, you are a stinker for sure!!! I don't know why I didn't post, just didn't. I haven't gotten to do anything with the boys, this crappy weather....and we are getting more snow now!! GRRRRRRR
The tooth in my hand is the top, I should take pictures of the underneath of it, even uglier!!!
No, poor Gilly, the tooth fairy was so excited to find the tooth she forgot to give him a treat! LOL

gtyyup, ya I know I'm a bad blogger! :-) This was my first horse tooth ever so this one I am keeping! I would make a necklace out of it but then my non horsey husband would have me committed for sure! LOL They probably don't let you have a laptop there so then I couldn't post at all. :-(
Awww, how sweet that you have Toby's wolf teeth, Gilly still has his. Since we are bitless I guess there is no reason to pull them.

I have a few caps, wolf teeth and molars. I found the caps in stalls when I was cleaning and the molar came from a dentist I met at a 4-h meeting and the wolf teeth were from my pony. They are very interesting.

WOW! I even guessed what it was! Gotta pat myself on the back!! :) That's really cool. I'm impatiently waiting for Monday to see who wins that giveaway!

Sydney, one tooth is all I have been able to find. I was hoping that I could find Pokey's baby teeth, but the donkey has decided to hide them from me! Bad donkey!!!

Julie, good for you! LOL I guess I shouldn't have made everyone wait so long but....Monday is almost here!

I have one of Panama's front teeth, Jane, which he lost at 2 1/2. I wasn't lucky enough to find any of the others, though. I've kept it, too!

I have a tooth from one of my girls, but unfortunately I don't know whose mouth it came out of!

At first I thought it was some sort of cool agate.

I kept thinking I would be finding some of Scorch's baby teeth when he was here, but he held onto them until he got home.

I'm excited about the giveaway, and I'm feeling lucky!

LOL Jane! No kidding tho, I had a client encase one of our horse teeth in a gold wire pendant. It was a great conversation piece!

Katharine, neat, I wish I had one or Gil's or Pokey's front teeth.

Melissa, a mystery tooth!

Photogchic, it is a strange looking thing!

Lisa, LOL

Leah, they seem to hide them from us don't they?

Jacque, bet you always wanted to know what a horse tooth looked like, didn't you?

Gail, that's funny, I'll bet that would be quite a conversation piece!
