Pokey Wants His SUPPER!!!!!
I just filmed this as I was going to the barn to feed. I will have to try it again because I want to get a close up of Pokey making his noise! He is that little white speck down by the barn! Sorry I couldn't get any closer, I couldn't get the little bugger to do it again when I was standing by him with the camera, kids!!! He is hysterical when he does this!
That's Gonzo walking around in the snow.

That is hilarious! I have never been around burros or donkeys so I had NO idea they were so vocal! Cute!
What a total hoot!!! I think he was saying "Hurry up, Mom!"
That noise is just so funny. I love donkeys!
Giggle!! Thanks for sharing!! I adore the Askotan Farewell on your page!!! Nicely done version!!!! Do you know what album it's from?
Hahaha! So perfect for the feeding frenzie! Mine shakes her head and rears up sometimes!

Jane, I LOVE your photos. The animals I love most in the world - dogs, horses and cats! I also have a black and white dog named Lucy. She's a Cocker Spaniel and her nickname is Lucy Goosey. I also have two other cockers, a Paint and a Quarter horse. Stay warm and enjoy your beautiful winter.
Yes, Pokey has a BIG voice for a little guy, he makes little grumpy noises and snorts and whines too like a little kid who doesn't get his way! He is a funny little boy!
Sarah, I got Ashokan Farewell from the music program that is on my blog. I have the album but don't remember right off what the name of the album is??? Sorry! Here is a link to more information http://www.jayandmolly.com/ashokanfarewell.shtml Click on the Sullivan Ballou Letter and read it, it's very sad. I first heard this song on the PBS special The Civil War by Ken Burns, very moving.
Anne,
Thank you! One of Lucy's nicknames is Lucy-Goosey too, along with Lucy Lu, Coyote Ugly (my husband calls her that because of her two colored eyes and she will sit outside our patio door staring in in the mornings until you give her a cookie. She is always begging for cookies and smiles when you give her one! Silly girl.
I am hoping that winter is almost over, I am just itching to get back on Gilly, it's been two months since I have ridden, too cold and too much ice and snow. Maybe next week!!!! :-)
Wow! Pokey is also a great singer!
Oh i just love that lil Pokey and his demanding voice!!! Too cute!!!
Jen
I'll bet you moved quickly! LOL! I always think of dogs and cats as being spoiled. Now there's Pokey :o)
