Also the address of the local newspaper and the chamber of commerce and the owner of the donkeys. Please, please sign the petition to stop this cruel sport.....if you love Pokey do this for his relatives!!!!

WooHoo the donkey roping has been canceled because of all the people signing and calling about it. The donkeys are free from this horrible treatment!
There are so many cruel people out there Jane. I'm so glad you posted this. We have to look out for and defend those with no words.
Yes, Gail I agree there are so many cruel people. Hope in the next life they are mistreated and abused like they have done to the poor animals! Poetic justice!
I can not imagine why people think donkeys are just throw-away animals! My little Pokey is the sweetest little guy and very sensitive too. Their being cautious is mistaken for stubborn, not so; only trying to protect themselves.
